SUNDAY ENVELOPES FOR 2024

Sunday envelopes for 2024 are available on the table at the back of the church. Please check with the ushers before taking a box - they are numbered, and we must have at least your name, address, phone number, and email on file. Those who give regularly through Pre-Authorized Giving are encouraged to pick up a box as well.

DEANERY CALENDARS FOR 2024

Deanery calendars are available in the parish hall. There is no charge for the calendars, though donations to offset printing costs are gratefully accepted.

FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS

On Saturday, December 16 at 7.30 p.m., STM will celebrate its traditional Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, this year with Pontifical Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Bishop Ivan Camilleri of the Archdiocese of Toronto will preside as delegate of His Grace Archbishop Leo, the new Archbishop of Toronto.

CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Children's Programme

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd programme begins Sunday December 3rd after Holy Mass downstairs in the Atrium from 2:00 pm to approximately 4:15 pm. Children from the age of three onward are introduced to the essential truths of the faith through handmade materials that encourage meditation. The programme normally runs in a small group setting, once a week, in a dedicated room. The catechists who work with the children will have participated in nearly 100 hours of formation and have prepared a special environment for the children.

For more information on the programme or if you are interested in having your child/ren participate, please contact our CGS coordinator Leslea Verver at leslea.verver@gmail.com.

Parents are welcome to attend fellowship and coffee hour in the parish hall while their children are in the Atrium, and to attend Evensong and Benediction with their children at 4.30 p.m. Parking is available in the schoolyard until the church closes after Evensong.

WEEKLY EVENSONG AND BENEDICTION

Begins Sunday December 3rd at 4:30

The Daily Office is a major part of the Anglican Patrimony which has been brought home into the Catholic Church by Pope Benedict XVI. We are now in a position to have the Office of Evensong celebrated publicly at STM, every Sunday, followed by Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

On Sundays, our fellowship in the parish hall, as well as our Atrium, will wrap up at 4 p.m. with Evensong and Benediction at 4.30 p.m. upstairs in the church. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us, whether or not they were able to attend Mass with us that day.

CHRISTMAS MASS SCHEDULE

Our Christmas Mass schedule will be posted as soon as celebrants are confirmed. This year the fourth Sunday of Advent falls on December 24th, so we are aiming to have the Sunday Mass of Advent IV at 12:30, an evening "midnight" Mass that evening, and Mass on Christmas Day, Monday December 25th at 12:30.
